49ers Home Opener today! But I wanted to get a quick session in before heading out. I continued work on the right main spar nut plate riveting. I finished up the K1100-08 nutplates, and started going on the K1000-06 nutplates (for the access covers). The rivets seemed to sit a little more proud that the others. I checked with my resident EAA tech counselor (and hangar mate), Alexander, and he said that although there are a few that are marginal, he doesn’t think they are worth drilling out. He recommended ensuring each rivet sits properly before squeezing. Advice heeded, and I will look a little closer before each squeeze!
