Enough with the mud and sanding. It’s time to paint! I did a final sanding, and then cleaned off the wall as best I could. I decided to go with a two tone scheme so Nico and his friend Milo came with me to Home Depot to pick out colors and get the gear we needed.
The boys helped mask off the outlets after a little bit of training, and helped unload all the power tools that have been at the house.
After the boys finished masking off the outlets, I applied the first coat of paint (of the lighter color) while they watched a movie. Note that the bottom third of the wall is not painted; this will be the darker color. Tomorrow morning I will apply the second layer of the lighter coat. I need to figure out how to create a straight line with masking tape to separate out the colors. Here we come YouTube!
